Digital Stereo Microscope Product Development

 

My goal as a product developer is twofold: to design and produce a high quality product and to help my stakeholders navigate the design space while educating and guiding them towards a successful solution. The pages below detail aspects a prototype cutting-edge digital microscope, imaging on a pair of 4k color sensors. My team and I took this development from a system concept to a handful of functional manufactured systems in under 12 months, all while dealing with severe supply chain disruptions on a highly integrated, complex design. As the lead Optomechanical Systems Engineer, I guided the design towards a flexible development platform that ultimately allowed us shave years off of our customer’s development cycle.
